Our Mission

At Kids Cooking Club, our mission has many dimensions and extends far beyond becoming familiar with the kitchen. Children develop knowledge and skills across three areas:

NUTRITION

Children learn:

  • To recognise and assess the nutritional value of each food
  • To choose foods that combine good nutrition and great taste
  • To adopt new, beneficial eating habits
  • To enrich their favourite dishes for better nutrition
  • To combine ingredients in a balanced way, from organic foods and brown sugar to plain white flour and white bread.

Can you imagine your young son telling you off for taking a third sweet? Or asking for the salad he used to dislike? At Kids Cooking Club, children develop a food culture naturally because learning happens through enjoyment.

GASTRONOMY

Children are encouraged:

  • To awaken their sense of taste
  • To combine flavours thoughtfully
  • To learn about different food groups: nuts and seeds, vegetables, pasta, dairy products, animal-based foods and more
  • To discover the basic principles of cooking, pastry-making and baking
  • To enjoy food to the fullest, from the pace of a meal and the order of dishes to chewing and posture at the table

Don’t be surprised if your child starts advising you on how much salt to use, or suggests a delicious sweet-and-savoury combination. At Kids Cooking Club, knowledge comes through experience, making it meaningful and lasting.

COOKING

Children learn:

  • How to choose ingredients for a meal
  • How to organise their cooking preparations
  • How to choose and use kitchen utensils and tools
  • How to prepare a meal
  • How to add flavour to their food creatively
  • How to enrich basic recipes with nutrition and imagination

Do you know how many kitchen skills your children have yet to reveal? How much culinary confidence they can develop when cooking is a fun, creative experience? Could you imagine a five-year-old preparing a meal for you? Or your son making a tastier pastitsio than his grandmother?

At Kids Cooking Club, we give you food for thought…
