Kitchen Rules

COOKING

Children learn:

  •     How to choose ingredients for their meals    To choose foods that combine nutrition and flavour
  •     How to organise their cooking preparations
  •     How to choose and use cooking utensils and tools
  •     How to prepare a meal
  •     How to add flavour to their food creatively
  •     How to build creatively on basic recipes

Do you know how many kitchen skills your children have that you have yet to discover? How much culinary skill can they develop when the experience feels like enjoyable, creative play? Could you imagine a five-year-old preparing a meal for you? Or your son making tastier pastitsio than his grandmother? At Kids Cooking Club, we give you food for thought…

GASTRONOMY

Children learn:

  •     To awaken their sense of taste
  •     To combine flavours thoughtfully
  •     To recognise ingredient groups, including fruit, nuts, vegetables, pasta, dairy and animal products
  •     To distinguish between cooking, pastry-making and baking recipes
  •     To enjoy food to the fullest through the pace of eating, the order of dishes, chewing and posture at the table

Do not be surprised if your child corrects how much salt you use, or suddenly suggests a delicious combination of sweet and savoury flavours. At Kids Cooking Club, learning comes through experience, helping children develop a deeper understanding.

NUTRITION

Children learn:

  •     To recognise and assess the nutritional value of each food
  •     To choose foods that combine nutrition and flavour
  •     To adopt new, beneficial eating habits
  •     To make their favourite dishes more nutritious and enjoy better nourishment

Can you imagine your young son telling you off for sneaking a third sweet treat? Or asking for a salad he used to dislike? At Kids Cooking Club, children naturally develop an understanding of food because learning is woven into enjoyment.
